Ethan Caldwell
Former strength coach · reviews our sleep and stress guides
Austin, Texas
Ethan Caldwell was a college athlete (cross-country and triathlon), then spent years as a strength coach for tech executives in San Francisco: twelve-hour days, six days a week.
At 39 he hit a severe burnout, with chronic insomnia. He got out of it by changing the way he lived: sleep first, training, light exposure, cold, and ASMR in his evening routine as a way to wind down. Nothing more.
Today he works one-on-one, in Austin, with people referred to him by others, on habits that last: sleep, strength and learning to slow down. He is not a doctor or a therapist, he sells no program and no supplement, and he keeps no public social media.
What he does on Tingly Room
On Tingly Room, Ethan reads our sleep and stress guides before they go online: are the steps realistic and clear, and is the article honest about what ASMR can and can't do? The medical facts in each guide come from the sources it cites.
