Accessibility

We want Tingly Room to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or other assistive technologies. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we do

  • Pages use real headings, labels and buttons that screen readers announce correctly.
  • Everything can be reached with a keyboard; panels keep the focus inside, close with Escape and give the focus back.
  • Text keeps enough contrast with the background, and pages work with text enlarged or zoomed to 200 %.
  • Nothing flashes, and motion follows your device's “reduce motion” setting where it matters.
  • We check the main pages with automated tools after each change, and by hand on phones and computers.

Known limits

  • Videos play in YouTube's player. Captions, when the creator provided them, are available in that player; ASMR videos often have little or no speech.
  • Payment and payout screens are provided by Stripe and follow its own accessibility work.
